Greater Stress Level Fluctuation in Lower Income Earners since onset of Coronavirus Pandemic

Natural disasters, mental illnesses, injuries, and crime are all known factors that lead to stress (Casarella 2020). People were in various levels of confinement due Coronavirus over the world, leading job loss inability finance basic living expenses. This study evaluated relationship between income by surveying different socioeconomic groups. All participants took anonymous PSS (Perceived Stress Scale) SRRS (Social Readjustment Rating test included questions about race, age range, number times they think each day. Dr.Cohen's 2009 score samples American population used as a baseline measurement for pre-Coronavirus levels. The level fluctuation was calculated subtracting participants' survey scores from Cohen's determine overall change. A p-value 0.00000001196 lower-income group (<$30k/yr) 0.01214 higher (>$91k/yr) obtained using independent-t-test.
